Dr. Vijay Sharma

Dr. Vijay Sharma, Registrar of the Central University of Punjab, holds a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from NIT Kurukshetra and M.Tech. in Industrial Engineering from NIT Jalandhar. He has also done MBA in operations. 
He began his professional journey in the Industry, gaining valuable Experience as an Engineer (three and half years) and subsequently served as workshop superintendent for approximately four years in pioneer Polytechnic College of DAV College management committee. This industrial cum academia background provides him with a unique perspective as the practical aspects of Engineering and management. 
He also served as a Principal for 22 years at some of the leading technical Institutions under the DAV college managing committee. Dr. Vijay Sharma is also a certified lead assessor for the implementation of ISO 9000 standards, showcasing his commitment to quality and excellence in Education and Administration.
His passion for research is reflected in his five publications in reputed International Journals. His diverse expertise in Engineering, operations and educational leadership underpins his vision for the university’s future, ensuring a strong focus on quality assurance, student development and academic excellence.
