This department is vital for catering to the needs of the society in preparing the youth for hospitality and tourism. The hospitality and tourism industry is continuously growing in its operation due to increased number of domestic and foreign tourists’ arrivals and due to significant contributions to employment and revenue generations. To manage this, well trained and skilled manpower are essential. The department aims to fulfil this by providing UG, PG and PhD programmes in the hospitality and tourism management. The department also intends to support the mission of the government to provide vocational training to tourist guides, entrepreneurs in travel, tourism and hospitality sector by conducting short-term skill development programmes. The doctoral Programme in the department intends to prepare future generation researchers for exploring, analyzing and understanding the ever dynamic and complex problems and prospects of travel, tourism and hospitality sector.
