The department will provide competent, ethically sound and skilled human resources who will contribute in policy making, administration, and implementation. The department aims to prepare young minds to serve not only in public sector but also start their own ventures in the domain of outsourcing service and consultancy at international, national and state levels for quality driven policy formulation and impact evaluation. The department proposes to build a resource pool based on research in Public Policy, Public Administration and Management that can guide policy makers for effective planning and implementation. The department will realize above goals by offering PG and Ph.D. Programmes in the domain of public policy and governance. Through its doctoral programmes, the department will prepare the research scholars for exploring, analyzing and understanding the dynamics of governance and public policy in diverse society. Further, the department will also liaison with government departments for short term capacity building programmes on Sustainable Development Goals, Use of Digital Technology in Governance and Effective Policy Implementation.
