Gender Sensitization Cell

The patriarchal society prevalent in India contributes to gender based discrimination that exists in all walks of life and society. Education is helping to change this mindset. Gender sensitization helps to inculcate the values of equality, inclusivity and diversity to build a healthy society. The education system can help to sensitize young minds towards gender issues and support in promoting gender equity and a climate where men and women can collaborate with a sense of personal security and dignity.
The focus of gender sensitization cell is to sensitize the students regarding the existing gender biases prevailing in the society and bring out the attitudinal change in students. Thus, helping girls and women to realize their dreams and goals and reach their maximum potential. 

Objectives

  1. Raise awareness about the need to remove gender bias in society
  2. Aiding in changing the mindset that will help to curb gender inequality
  3. Help empowering the girls/women to achieve their goals without any gender challenges
