Event Date: 23rd April, 2025

A Hands-on Training on newly inducted 50 Ltrs. Trolley mounted Watermist and CAF Fire Extinguisher was conducted by the represntatives of M/s Ceasefire Industries Limited (OEM of the Watermist and CAF Fire Extinguisher). The Security Guards, Electricians and other other out sourced staff attended the training. The reps of OEM demonstrated the features and working of the fire extinguisher.

A presentation regarding theoretical training on basic fire fighting and first aid followed by practical training was carried out for all Security Guards and Laboratory Staff of the University to apprise them of portable and fixed fire fighting systems, fire fighting techniques and emergency procedures.

A hands on training on operation of Fire Extinguishers was conducted on 11 Nov 2025 by Security Office. Following were covered:-
(a)  Technical specifications and utility of various types of Fire Extinguishers held in CUPB.
(b)  Precautions to be undertaken whilst operating Fire Extinguishers.
(c)  Periodic Checks of Fire Extinguishers
Fire Extinguishers were operated on live Fire by Staff members and Security Personnel.

Event Date: 04 December, 2025

A training on Fire Fighting was conducted at KV School, CUPB Campus to apprise children of basic aspects of Fire Fighting. Following topics were covered:-
(a) Fire Chemistry, Principles of Fire Extinguishing, Classification of Fires
(b) Precautions to be taken at home, school to prevent accidental fires.
(c) Emergency drills in case of clothes catch fire and escape procedures.
(d) Operation of DCP Fire Extinguisher by Children.
