1. Training Programme/Workshops

  • Five days workshop (13-17 Feb, 2017) on Techniques of Geological, Geomorphological mapping and sampling process for Geoscience research.
  • GPS training Programme on Trimble TDC 100 (handheld GPS) 23 August, 2017 conducted by Centre for Geography and Geology, Central University of Punjab, Bathinda.
  • The ‘Five Days Research Methodology Course on Large Scale Survey: Data Analysis and Tools’ organized by  Department of Educational Planning National Institute of Educational Planning and Administration, New Delhi, held from 18-22 March, 2019. This Research methodology workshop provided extensive lectures and training on research methods. It enhanced the quality of research by providing training on SPSS, STATA for data analysis and statistical techniques i.e, tabulation, cross tabulation, correlation, bivariate, multiple linear regressions to find out the correlation between variables.
  • A National Webinar on COVID-19: Implications for Human and Natural Environment Organized by Department of Geography, R.P.S. Degree College, Mahendergarh and Central University of Punjab, Bathinda, on 23-24 June, 2020.
  • One Day GEE Introductory Course (Webinar) on “Basics of Google Earth Engine: Introduction to Satellite Data Analysis on Cloud Platform” conducted on 3rd March, 2024.

3. Capacity Building Programme

  • 21 days NRDMS (DST) sponsored Training Program on “Geospatial Technology towards a Sustainable Future and Development” which was organized by SKUAST-Kashmir, Shalimar Srinagar from 10 to 30 June 2019. This program aimed to build capacities in teaching, research and development as well as use of geospatial technologies using open source software (Quantam GIS and SAGA) among the participants.
  • ICSSR-sponsored Two-Week Capacity Building Programme (CBP) for Young Faculty in Social Sciences, held at Himachal Pradesh University from 23rd September to 4th October 2024.
