The National Service Scheme (NSS) is a Central Sector Scheme of Government of India, Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports. National Service Scheme was formally launched on 24th September, 1969, the birth centenary year of the Father of the Nation.
NSS Cell of Central University of Punjab, Bathinda seeks to raise awareness among the students on national integration, social harmony, general health awareness, personality development, personal hygiene, mental health and stress management which will develop a sense of social and civic responsibility in students. The objectives of the cell are:
NSS Cell is working in nearby villages, school and the villages adopted by the university.
