Department of Psychology
The Department of Psychology is established in 2019 as one of the departments of the School of Social Sciences. Our focus is to provide students the much needed theoretical background, training, and exposure required for turning into a skilled professional. Keeping this in view, the department offers both broad (i.e., diverse elective courses) and in-depth masters program in psychology so that the students have a clear understanding of studying behavior in different spheres of life. Since the department is still in its infancy stage, we keep our curriculum updating so that it parallels the international standards of the course. As of now, the department offers only masters degrees in Psychology, but in the near future we look forward to offering diverse courses including doctoral programs, bachelor's programs, and other specialized diploma courses.
We also look forward to further strengthening, expanding, and diversifying our department by taking on-board doctoral students who are highly motivated for undertaking challenging research.

The faculty members are actively involved in publishing research papers, expanding their research work by applying for various research projects based on their thrust areas, and thus contributing to the field of psychology.
The department is also concerned with making students do full time internships under the guidance of various experts from the fields of clinical psychology, neuropsychology, organizational psychology, child psychology, counselling psychology and other mental health professionals.
